Since March 1999, Gervais Koffi and the African Diaspora has been performing at a range of notable venues including the former Harbourside Brasserie, and Sydney's premier live music venue, The Basement, where they've played to full houses. According to the Basement, they are "easily the best Afro-roots show in town, and they play a pretty awesome Latin set too!" They've also packed in the crowds at major festivals across the country including the Global Carnival in Bellingen and the World Music Festival in Thredbo. They've also been a regular feature during Australia Day celebrations in Sydney.
Koffi is a superb bass player and vocalist, a great performer and a magnificent dancer who breathes life into any audience. He has proven to be the ideal person to introduce the music of West Africa and the French Carribean to Australian audiences.
Gervais Koffi and The African Diaspora get down and get funky to make you dance, jump and sing along to their infectious grooves and melodies.
